It was in 1989 that the first passionate skiers discovered Massif du Sud and revealed the best-kept secret that would build its reputation: its natural beauty and its legendary Powder Fridays. The mountain’s natural charm fueled the determination and pride of the local community, who dreamed of bringing their jewel to life and sharing it with the world.

Twenty-six years ago, you had to be ambitious to carve out a ski resort on Mont du Midi, in its untouched forest, with no roads, no infrastructure, and no services. Despite everything, the efforts and vision of those courageous pioneers paid off, as they created one of the most magical places in Québec.

It is the imagination and courage of a few trailblazers that allow us today to offer winter sports enthusiasts the unique, almost unreal experience that Massif du Sud provides.
